Wayne David Shell

Wayne David Shell, 70, of Bentonville died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville. He was born October 1, 1945 in Bentonville the son of Naomi Burch McCurdy and Frank George Shell. He was a graduate of Bentonville High School Class of 1964 and was a lifetime resident of Bentonville. He was a truck driver for over 23 years for Willis Shaw Express. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially football and baseball, and working on vehicles. He served in the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Shell. Wayne is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shell whom he married January 11, 1971, two daughters; Danette Thompson and her husband Jeff, of West Fork, Crystal Brown and her husband Michael, of Bigelow, one sister; Joyce Pruitt, of Rogers, and a hosts of friends. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville. Graveside service will be Sunday at noon at Bentonville Cemetery with Rev. Rex Dickey officiating.
