Ethel Garrett Wolford
Heber Springs, AR, 1925 - 2016Ethel Garrett Wolford, 90, of Heber Springs, passed away Jan. 27, 2016. She was born April 13, 1925 in Concord, Ark. to Clinton and Verna Garrett. After thirty-seven years of service, Ethel retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with near perfect attendance. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers. An expert seamstress, Ethel was a long-time member of The Stitching Group and enjoyed all kinds of fine handwork.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; and sisters: Edith Greene, Amy Foust, and Ruth Spradlin.
She is survived by one daughter, Suanne Riddle and husband, Jimmy, of Searcy; two grandchildren: George Riddle and wife, Valerie, of Memphis, Tenn. and Jayme Beck and husband, Shane, of Oakland, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren: Ryne and Garrett Beck and Rylee Riddle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ethel's honor to the Cleburne County Humane Society, 49 Shelter Lane, Heber Springs, Ark. 72543 or St. Paul United Methodist Church–The Memory Care Ministry, 2509 W.
