Larry W. Simmons

LARRY W. SIMMONS, 60, of Sherwood passed away Nov. 19. He was born and raised in Little Rock and graduated from Hall High School in 1974. Larry worked for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years, most recently as a window clerk at the Chenal Station. Larry was a loving husband, father, brother, Uncle and "Papa Larry" – the Rock of our family! He loved his family more than anything, they were always first and his grandchildren were his world. All agree, he made the best "Daddy Larry Burgers" with secret sauce! Larry also loved the Razorbacks & was a fan in all seasons. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Shirley Ann Simmons. Left to celebrate his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Lori Simmons; daughter Sandra (Lee), sons Jason Dylan and John David (Lauren); grandchildren Haley Nicole, Brandon Lee, Austin David and Ellie Clare; brother Harold (Wendi) Simmons, Jr. and sister Donna (Ken) Little. Visitation will be held from 6–8 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 with burial immediately following at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
