Kenneth Jones

Kenneth Jones, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas transitioned on October 1, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born October 24, 1947 in Paris, Arkansas to the late George Rufus Jones and Leoma Williams Jones. He was baptized in the Church of Christ at an early age. Kenneth graduated from Paris High School and the University of Ozarks. He also attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the University of Chicago Law School. Kenneth pursued various professional interests with The City of Little Rock, in real estate, and auto sales brokering. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Droughter Jones of Little Rock; sons, Amil (Robin) of Fresno, CA and Dr. Ebon Jones of Nashville, Tenn.; daughters, Tonia Word(Donnie) of Conway, Ark. and Dr. Cara Jones (Derrick Young) of Little Rock, Ark. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Emily and Noah Word of Conway, Ark., Solomon Jones of Fresno, Calif., and Drynn Young of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, William Jones and Rufus Eugene Jones of Tacoma, Wash.; sisters, Margaret Bruce of Tacoma, Wash., Linda (Earl) May of Clarksville, Ark., Nina Jones of Little Rock, Ark., Debbie (Festus) Ugbade of Hot Springs, Ark., and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Stewart, Rose Ann Wood, Edith Watson, Henry Jones, Donald Jones, and James Robert Jones. Friends may join the family, Friday October 7, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. for a memorial at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. In accordance with Kenneth ‘s wishes a private family ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016.
