Allen Clark (A.C.) Gibbons

Allen Clark (A.C.) Gibbons was born Oct. 24, 1935 in Dyersburg Tenn. to the late John Rex and Lorene (Clark) Gibbons. He passed from this life Oct.14, 2016 at the age of 80. A.C. was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked 25 years for IBM as a Customer Service Engineer in Little Rock. He retired from IBM in 1991 and moved to Long Beach Miss., where he managed Beatline Road Mini-Storage. A.C. had a great fondness for music and taught himself to play the guitar and fiddle. He was a member of the Pineview Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Vada Smith Gibbons; children, Sarah (Stephen) McNally of Long Beach, Miss. and Allen (Kristy) Gibbons, Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Vada (Charlie) Buckley, Owen (Lindsay) McNally, Micah (Bailey) McNally, Callian (Jacob) Robinson, Katelyn McNally and John Michael Gibbons; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Reilly Allen and Levi Buckley, Irene McNally and Makenna Robinson. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Pineview Church of Christ with Brother Fred Eadens officiating. Interment will follow in the Howell Cemetery.
