Ruben Eugene Pate Sr., 68, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Eugene was born on Friday, September 10, 1948 in Enola, Arkansas to the late Ruben and Ruby Pate. Eugene was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Mississippi stud and spending time at the Pate's Deer Camp with the grandkids. Eugene was preceded in death by a brother, Benny John Pate; two sisters, Ruby and Emma Sue and one stepson, Ricky Childress. Eugene is survived by his loving wife Susan Pate of 23 years; six children, Carlon (John) Vaughan of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Kim (Jon) Klindt of Austin, Arkansas, Angel (Steve) Honeywell of Camp, Arkansas, Eugene (Mechelle) Pate Jr. of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Adam (Amber) Pate of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Brandon (Caroline) Childress of North Little Rock, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Ricky Lynn (Roseann) Pate of Sheridan, Arkansas; four sisters, Barbara Ann Walker, Reta Leadingham, Kay Crook, Nell Payton; and by many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at First General Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. A Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 12 from 6-8 p.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Interment will follow after the service at Arkansas memorial Gardens in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
