Nita Dorene Wilson

Nita Dorene Wilson, 93, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2017. She was born in Shady Grove, Arkansas on February 8, 1924, to Jesse Edward and Agnes Williams. Nita was raised in Wooster, Arkansas along with her three brothers, Harold Gene, Sammy Ray, and Edward (Pete) Lee, and her two sisters, Eva Mae and Junella Joy. She graduated from Greenbrier High School in June 1942. On March 29, 1943, she married Baxter Zebedee Wilson. In World War II she participated in the war effort by making detonators. After the war in 1945, they moved to California and returned to Arkansas in 1984. She was a devoted mother and wife; the center of her family. Her beliefs in Christ were the foundation of her life. Her work in numerous churches throughout her life were felt by many. She also loved to sew and was known for her incredible pies. She is survived by her children, Larry Z. Wilson of Salinas, Calif.; Michael G. Wilson and wife Carolyn of Boise, Idaho; Johnny M. Wilson and wife Sherry of Conway, Ark.; Margaret R. (Becky) Eames and husband Bruce of Boise, Idaho; Karry L. Wilson of Johnson City, Tenn.; and Jeffrey S. Wilson and wife Amanda of Conway, Ark. Also, her brother, Edward (Pete) Lee Williams, a number of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing Blvd., Conway, Ark.
