Mary Dortch

Mary E. Dortch, 87 of Hensley, passed away August 8, 2017. She was born in Saline County on June 16, 1930 to the late George and Dorothy Ashley Wilkerson. Mary was a member of the East End Baptist Church and retired from the Timex Corp. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, Oral J. Dortch, sons, Andy Dortch and Lloyd Ray Dortch, brothers, Harvey, Dewey and Irvin Wilkerson and sister, Bonnie Vandiver. Mary is survived by her son, Dennis Dortch, daughters, Carolyn (Buck) Herndon, Kathi (Jim Bergemann) Williams and Becky (Larry) Cossey, brothers, Melvin Wilkerson, James E. Wilkerson; sisters, Maggie McKinney, Marilyn Griffis, Sadie Perkins, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 12 noon on Friday with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery in East End. Visitation will be Friday, 11 a.m. until 12 noon before service time.
