Mary Lou Tankersley, 87, of Van Buren passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 in a Clarksville nursing home. She was a retired Registered Nurse and the former Hospital Director of Nursing for Baptist Medical System. She attended the City Height United Methodist Church in Van Buren and was the widow of Tom Tankersley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Tankersley of Cabot, Arkansas, her parents Glen Dixon and Ethel (Smith) Dixon, and two brothers, Jack and Hugh Dixon. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Kauffeld of Clarksville; a son Rawn Tankersley and his wife, Annette of Branson, Missouri; a granddaughter, Jessica Tankersley of Branson; and three grandsons, Taylor Tankersley of Branson, Issac Kauffeld of Clarksville, and Cole Kauffeld of Fayetteville; a sister, Ann Behnke of Bella Vista; two nieces, Erin Behnke of Bella Vista and Ean Colley and her husband Scott of Germantown, two nephews Glen Dixon and his wife Jan of Collierville, Tenn. and Hugh Dixon and his wife Kelly of Germantown, Tenn.; a great-nephew, Chris Dixon and his wife Kristen of Mississippi; two great-nieces, Caroline Behnke of Bella Vista and Madison Colley of Germantown, Tennessee; a great-nephew, Matthew Colley, also of Germantown; and a great-great-niece, Ethne Dixon of Mississippi. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with Reverend Randall Miller officiating with burial at Dutch Mills Cemetery in Washington County under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
