Guy Leon Cawood

Guy Leon Cawood, 87, passed away in Fayetteville on August 13, 2017. He was born February 6, 1930 in Gravette, Arkansas to Guy C. and Viva Holland Cawood. Guy owned Cawood Trucking Company for 50 years. He enjoyed traveling in his R.V. and listening to Bluegrass music. He was a member of Elm Springs Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Dawna Cawood of Springdale; two sons, Gary Cawood & wife Doris of Springdale; Terry Cawood of Rogers; two daughters, Glenda King of Lowell; Gayla O'Brien & husband Bill of Elm Springs; three sisters, Alta Lee of Topeka, Kansas; Linda Gorseline of Springdale; Jane Truitt & husband Glen of Springdale; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. A memorial visitation will take place Wednesday, August 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Memorial service will be Thursday, August 17 at Sisco Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dixon Platt officiating. Burial will be at The Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers following the service.
