George Thomas Jackson, age 17, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, in Springfield, Missouri. Thomas was lovingly brought into the world on August 5, 2000, to his birth parents, Holly Daniels and Stephen Tokarski in Billings, Montana. In the ultimate gift of love, they chose to allow Thomas to join the Jackson family, and he was adopted by Laura and Randy Jackson and big brother Ethan. He was preceded in death by his aunt Gretchen Flaming; his uncle Ben Jackson; and his great-grandparents. Thomas is survived by his parents, Laura & Randy Jackson; siblings, Ethan, Baxter, Ryler and Esme Jackson; grandparents, Judy and Bert Flaming of Corn, Oklahoma, and Gerry and Bill Jackson of Plano, Texas; numerous aunts and uncles, Heidi and Monty Flaming-Buschmann of Phoenix, Ariz., Olga and Ben Pierce of Wasilla, Alaska, Liesl and Ryan Pierce of Wasilla, Alaska, Karl and Beth Flaming of Wasilla, Alaska, Greg and Analucia Jackson of Springdale, Arkansas, and Julie and Blake Murphy of White Salmon, Washington. Thomas was blessed to do life with dozens of cousins who made his life so much better. Thomas loved figuring things out - Rubik's cubes, puzzles, and computer coding. His pockets were typically bulging with a 3 by 3 Rubik's cube, a 6 by 6 Rubik's cube, and his iPod music player. He had a quick wit, a hunger for knowledge and loved the feel of a book in his hands. He was never without a journal and always wanted to record his thoughts. He was writing his life story throughout the summer. He was always the tech guy in any setting and could fix any issue on your phone or computer. Each summer brought the highlight of the year for Thomas when he was able to enjoy the outdoors at Camp War Eagle in Arkansas and Camp Cedarbrook in Rosebud, Texas. Swimming, fishing, hiking, good camp food and fellowship, along with the chance to go for days at a time without showering or changing his clothes, made Thomas one happy guy. Thomas' life here on earth was a short 17 years long, but his legacy will live on long after the summer of 2017. Thomas gave the gift of life through organ donation and there are some grateful organ recipients and their families that received long-awaited calls over the weekend. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Keypoint Church at 1404 Chester Ave., Springdale, Ark. 72762.
