Mine Reathel (Sell) Gaston

Mine Reathel (Sell) Gaston of Little Rock, Ark., passed away 8/05/2017 in Broomfield, Colo. of pancreatic cancer. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Aunt. Born May 5, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Sylvester and Florence Sell, she was the youngest of six children: Ralph, Floyd, Walter, Yvonne, and Geneva. In 1950, she married LeRoy Gaston, a career Sr. Master Sergeant in US Air Force. They travelled the world during his service fostering her love of travel. Widowed at the age of 40, she returned to college earning Bachelors and Masters degrees of Social Work and worked for the Arkansas Department of Human Services for over 20 years. Mina is survived by her sister, Geneva (JB) Kinder of Ohio; her son, Gary (Melinda) Gaston of Mayflower, Ark.; daughter, Karen (Doug) Malcolm of Broomfield, Colo.; five grandchildren: Betsy (Jason) Leahan, Mary Gaston; Cameron, Brennan, and Lt. Grayson Malcolm; two great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Julia Leahan and many loving nieces and nephews. Mina was a dedicated member of the Little Rock Seventh-day Adventist church. Her favorite song, a Bible school song, "Brighten the Corner Where You Are", epitomized her life. Her cheerful smile, friendly disposition and positive outlook will be missed by all that knew her.
