Darrell Wade Ball

Darrell Wade Ball, of Little Rock, Ark. was called home to his sweet Savior on August 23, 2017. Darrell was the first born of twins on September 1, 1934 to Preston Brooks and Ima Mary (Avery) Ball. Darrell served in the Korean Conflict, where he earned National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals. After his time in the Service, Darrell attended Valdosta State University, where he earned a BBA Degree in Accounting. He went on to retire from the State of Georgia after a 30 year career in the Department of Revenue. He was also a Deacon at Central Baptist Church in Jackson, Ga. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leila Sue (Thornton) Ball; a daughter, Daryl Lynn Ball; four brothers, Johnny Brooks Ball (Ramona), James Everette Ball (Grace), Jerry Loyd Ball (Loretta) and Roy Eugene Ball (Vivian). Darrell is survived by two sons, Garry Craig of Morrow, Ga., Keith Lee and wife, Teresa; two grandchildren, Bryce and Lauren of Macon, Ga.vHe is also survived by two brothers; his identical twin, Carroll Wayne Ball and wife, Barbara of Little Rock, Ark. and Elder Bobby Joe Ball and wife, Joyce of Corning, Ark.; his sweet baby sister, Mary Ruth (Ball) Brown and her gracious husband, Stephen Lee Brown of Little Rock, Ark., and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior.
