Douglas Allan Kerr

Douglas Allan Kerr of Bella Vista, Arkansas, 85, passed away August 23, 2017 in Houston, Texas where he was receiving emergency medical care. He was born in Litchfield, Minnesota, April 2, 1932 to the late Clyde and Pearl Kerr. He was the loving husband of 62 years to Phyllis Kerr. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Bella Vista and his six children: Lynne Ellis of Brainerd, Minn., Cheryl Osborn (Mark) of Cyrus, Minn., Brian Kerr (Annette) of Prior Lake, Minn., Gary Kerr (Alicia) of Bentonville, Ark., Bethany Kerr of Bella Vista, Ark., and Bruce Kerr (Tonia) of Bella Vista, Ark. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine, and his only brother, Donald Kerr. He has 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He retired at age 52 after working 33 years with Western Electric/AT&T as a regional manager in Minnesota. He then moved to Arkansas with Phyllis and his two younger children. He enjoyed his big family, living on the lake, walking his dog Gaston and feeding a variety of birds, fish, and even foxes. He was a life long member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed speaking to those he met about the Bible and how God's Kingdom will restore paradise to this earth. Memorial services are being held at the Bella Vista Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday the 26th at 4:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.
