Jeannie Elizabeth (Betty) Nugent of Camden, joined her beloved husband, Charles, in heaven on November 29, 2017. Born on February 11, 1934 to Joe Snyder and Jeannie Guy Bottom in Wathena, Kansas. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers, Hilliard Bottom and Joe Guy (Junior) Bottom, and sisters, Margaret Oliger, Muriel Hall, and Dorothy Ferguson. She grew up in Pine Bluff, Ark. where she married her childhood sweetheart, Charles E. Nugent, on July 15, 1950. They made their home in Camden in 1952 and spent almost 67 happy years together. Betty was always the life of the party, loved to laugh and tell jokes. Her giggle was contagious, just like her smile. She had a huge warm heart and loved everyone, especially children. She enjoyed being a mom, homemaker, wife, grandma, and especially a great-grandma. She will be greatly missed by family, neighbors, and her Church and exercise friends. She is survived by her son, Charles E. Nugent, Jr. (Tanya) of Mabelvale; daughter, Jeannie Adkins; grandchildren, Chris Adkins (Natasha) and Kelly Adkins all of Greenbrier; granddaughter, Friedl Nugent of California; great-granddaughter, Lainey Adkins of Greenbrier; and numerous much loved nephews, nieces and friends. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on December 4, 2017 at Proctor Funeral Home, Camden, Ark., preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in White Hall, Ark.
