EARL F. "BUD" WHITE of Little Rock passed away peacefully on Nov. 30, 2017, at the age of 90. Born to parents Lonnie and Julia White in Little Rock on Aug. 19, 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, William G. White. Bud attended Little Rock High School and Little Rock Jr. College. He was serving in the Army when World War II ended. He then served in the Air Force Reserves and was called to active duty during the Korean War, stationed in Japan. As a member of the Arkansas National Guard he was again called to Active Duty during the Vietnam War. At the time of his retirement, he was a Lt. Colonel, Commander of the 123rd Rec. Tech Unit stationed at Adams Field. He served his country in the Armed Forces a combined total of 27 years. Bud had a long career in the Construction business, retiring from Mechanics Lumber Company. He had served as an Elder at Little Rock Church and was a member at Chenal Valley Church of Christ. Along with his wife of 67 years, Katie, they raised three children: Janet Hall (Doyce), Dale White (Jenifer) and Kay Binns (Mike). Bud was the perfect PaPaw to five grandchildren: Kaci (Seth), Kelsey (Colin), Garrett (Adrienne), Mason (Jaynelle) and Marcus (Tiffany) and to his four great-grandchildren: Grant, Maxson, Van and Jarrett. Bud loved his family, his country and his God and lived a long, happy and fruitful life. He was loved by all and will be missed by all and will be fondly remembered. He awaits the Heavenly reunion. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Highway 5 N. in Alexander with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
