Mary Catherine (nee Handy-Wild) DiGiuseppe

Mary Catherine DiGiuseppe (nee Handy-Wild), 69, formerly of Saline, Michigan, Jefferson City, Mo. and Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her home in Maumelle, Ark. She was born on March 31, 1948 in Ann Arbor, Mich. to the late James C. Handy Jr. and Ada May Handy. Mary grew up in Ann Arbor and Saline, Mich. and graduated from Saline High School in 1966. Growing up, she was celebrated locally as one of the Handy Triplets along with sisters, Nancy and Becky. Mary was a survivor of cancer. She was also an impassioned Wolverines fan and lover of sports, a trait she imparted on her surviving children. Mary loved the serenity of gardening, seafood dinners, and telling stories about her family's beach house in Maine. She was a pet lover, dedicated county and state employee, mother, and spouse. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Gary J. DiGiuseppe; her son, Andrew J. DiGiuseppe; her parents, James C. Handy Jr. and Ada May Handy (McBride); her brother, James C. Handy III; and her sister, Becky Lindemann. Mary is survived by her son, James Wild of Chicago, Ill.; her daughter, Annie DiGiuseppe of Maumelle, Ark.; her sisters, Maureen (Larry) Lochey of Manchester, Mich.. and Nancy (James) Marion of Saline, Mich.; her brother, Anthony (Kim) Handy of Vacaville, Calif.; her aunt, Ruth Handy of Milan, Mich.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline, Michigan. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
