Doris Lee Palmer, 89, of Conway, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 7, 2017. She was born January 13, 1928 in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Clyde and Mary Cameron. Doris was a long time resident of Blytheville, she graduated from Blytheville High School in 1947, and worked at Blytheville High School many years as Bookkeeper. Doris was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Blytheville, St. Albert's Catholic Church in Heber Springs, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Conway. She was an avid member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Heber Springs and Blytheville, and was an Oblate of Subiaco Abbey. Doris was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Doris is survived by her son, Mike Palmer (Chong O) of Merritt Island, Fla., two daughters, Catherine P. Willems (Michael A.) of Searcy, Ark., and Edythe Riggs (Roger) of Conway, Ark., nine grandchildren, John F. Willems (Rachel Taylor), Nathan M. Willems (Victoria), Joseph C. Willems, 2d Lt. Suzanna Jean Palmer, Jamie Sue Palmer, Faith Chong Palmer, Joo Hee "Angel" Kim, Andrew D. Riggs (Laura), Alison Riggs Austin (Ryan), and one great-grandchild, Lucas Daniel Riggs, sister, Charlene Clark, and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 40 years, John M. Palmer, brother, McKinley Cameron, and sister, Betty Newlin. Rosary will begin Monday, December 11, 2017 at 6 p.m. and visitation will follow until 8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Interment following at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
