Juanita Pendergraft Clark

Juanita Pendergraft Clark, age 95, passed away on December 5, 2017 in Rogers. She was born August 26, 1922 in the Oklahoma oil fields; migrated to California as a child with her parents, Abner and Mary McClary; and later returned to Arkansas where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Mack C. Pendergraft, who died in 1971, and together they raised two daughters and a son; and Arvis C. Clark who died in 1999. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a son, Donnie E. Pendergraft. Survivors are her two daughters, Rosetta Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Cathy Wernick of Lake City, Florida; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was one of the initial employees at Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers in 1958 and retired in 1984 after 26 years. She spent her retirement years tending to her flowers and enjoying the RV life with Arvis. Her visitation will be on Monday from 10-11 a.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with a service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Goering officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a long-time member, or to your favorite charity.
