Emily Kay Matocha, 85, of Huntsville, Ark., died Dec. 14, 2017, at her home. She was born June 7, 1932, at Watsonville, Calif., the daughter of Kay Bardram and Amanda Pauline Fladland Knudsen. She was a homemaker and a devout member of Saint John Catholic Church in Huntsville. She was the widow of Roosevelt Walter Matocha who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Knudsen Johsens. She was a true matriarch who loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She was always the rock for those she loved. She never met a stranger and was a true blessing to know. Emily was a straight shooter and stood firm on her beliefs. She kept her smile through good times and bad and lived by the words, God first, family second and then anything Razorback. We are pretty sure she is talking to God and putting in her request for the Razorbacks as this is written. She will be missed by all. Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ted Williams of Hot Springs, Ark., and Will and Robin Williams of Hockley, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Janet and Fred Siegel of Victoria, Texas; Barbie and Gary Scott of Bartlesville, Okla., and Dorothy Pettey of Greenland, Ark.; grandchildren, Tommy, Brian, Nikki, Steve, Erik, Amy, Josh, Jennifer, Nicki and Kelsi; great-grandchildren, Bethany, Brittany, Ambree, Tommy, Zachary, Jared, Allyson, Hieydar, Samantha, Kevin, Kristaline, Kalon, Kayden and Kensi and great-great-grandchildren, Keaton and Kolston. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m Monday, Dec. 18, at Saint John Catholic Church with Father Kevin Alunzu celebrant. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home-Huntsville www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Josh Thompson, Steve Saenz, Erick Saenz, Tommy Romanowski, Aaron Fouch, Josh Oldham and Jimmy Hulse.
