Mary Bernice Simmons

Mary Bernice Simmons, age 88, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. Bernice was born on Oct. 7, 1929 in Clarita, Okla., to Thurman and Mary Ramay. She married the love of her life Oren Simmons in Bakersfield, Calif. She enjoyed being a wife and mother, and tending to her garden. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Farrell. She is survived by her children; Sharon Simmons of Rogers, Ark., Gail Simmons of Gentry, Ark., Brenda Harris of Carl Junction, Mo., David Harris of Carl Junction, Mo., Sonia Simmons of Grove, Okla., and Terry King of Grove, Okla; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma at 2 p.m., under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.
