Dorothy L Hooper

Dorothy "Dottie" L. Hooper, 65, of Jacksonville, passed away December 19, 2017. She was born to Cleo & Pauline Maxwell on February 17, 1952 in Geneva, Illinois. She loved fishing, sewing, and playing rummy. She also loved her grandkids more than words could ever express. She is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Wilson; and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Johnny Hooper; children, Joseph (Jeannie) Hooper, Jason (Stacy) Hooper, Travis (Ashley) Hooper; siblings, Betty Anderson, Dixie Paris, Dena Maxwell, Martin Maxwell, Mary Frances Gates, Michael Wallace; grandchildren, Leslie Hooper, Ariel Hooper, Joanna Hooper, Tyler Hooper, Abigail Hooper, Allie Hooper, Zandra Mann, and Dakota Mann; and a host of extended family. Visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10 a.m., also at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.
