Winfred Burlison

Winfred "Pops" Burlison, 92, long time resident of Rose Bud, Ark, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ruby Jackson Burlison, parents A.M. & Hattie (Clark) Burlison, daughter, Donna Jean Harrison, infant grandson, Justin Burlison, son-in-law, Ronnie Harrison, brothers, Ronald and Horace Burlison. Survivors include son, Jerry (Janice) Burlison; daughter, Debra (Jackie) Head; grandchildren, Kathy Harrison Murphree (Brian), Jared Burlison, Jill Burlison LaRosa (Tony), Bridget Head Crockett (Shane), and Brittany Head Holeyfield (Nolan); great-grandchildren, Madelyn Murphree, Magen LaRosa, Alex Burlison, Christopher Burlison, Julia LaRosa, Elle Williams, Ava Crockett, and Michael LaRosa; and great-great-grandson Kaylon Fisher Jr. Pops was a WWll Navy veteran, serving in the Philippines and Japan from 1944-46. He enjoyed playing games (especially checkers), visiting, and gospel music. For the last seven years Pops resided at the Moix Medical Foster Home in Conway, where he enjoyed good food, good company, and domino playing.
