Jerry Lee Johnson

Jerry Lee Johnson, age 74, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, December 31, 2016 in Springdale. He was born March 25, 1942 in Fayetteville, the son of Howell E. and Lillian E. Langham Johnson. He was preceded in death by a son, Craig E. Johnson and infant daughter Lily Mae Johnson. He was a loan officer and vice-president for First National Bank in Fayetteville and later a general contractor for the Northwest Arkansas area. He was a member of Center Street Church of Christ where he was a deacon for many years and a member of the Sertoma Club. In his later years, he loved gardening and shared his garden with others. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Terry Johnson; two daughters, Sherri Johnson Carrizosa of Springdale and Rhonda Johnson Bebout and her husband Heath of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Barbara Mayes of Spring, Texas; and two grandchildren, Sarah Richardson and William Richardson. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 4 at Center Street Church of Christ followed by burial at Son's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
