Darlene Faye Reeves Jenkins, 83, passed away January 1, 2017. She was born November 1, 1933 to the late Bertha Ellen (Venable) and Cledon Avery Reeves in Pitman, Arkansas She was the wife of 60 years to Daniel A. Jenkins. Darlene graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1951. She was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone for 21 years. She retired in 1999, from First Brands/Union Carbide in Rogers, with 26 years of service. After retirement, she volunteered at Tillery and Grace Hill Elementary schools and was employed by the Rogers school system in their after school care program for five years. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ where she taught 2nd grade for many years. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Kathy Collins and husband, Kevin of Brightwater, Karen Lundy and husband, Mark of Rogers, Colleen Allerdice and husband, Jim of Senoia, Georgia, Amy Dye and husband, Brian of Bentonville; son, Steven Jenkins of Ft. Smith; nine grandchildren, Jamey (Alicia) and Stephanie Allerdice, Sarah and Hunter (Emily) Collins, Ben (Keelie), Ellen and Erin Lundy, and Joe and Emily Jenkins; great-grandchild, Benjamen Coy Lundy; nieces, Kelly McCoy Williams and Tracy Forbes Boone; and many other loved nieces, nephews, cousins and family. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Avery Jenkins; sisters, Roberta McCoy and Bonnie Forbes. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Southside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
