Barbara Harden

Barbara "Bobbye" Case Reed Harden, 87 of White Hall, passed away, Tuesday January 3, 2017. Born September 9, 1929 at Sheridan, Arkansas, in the home of her grandparents, Reverend & Mrs. R.W. Glover, she was a daughter of the late William Case Reed and Mary Thala Glover Reed. A homemaker first and foremost, Bobbye also worked alongside her husband as owner/operators of Harden's Grocery for 20 years. She was saved in 1938 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. Her family moved to Pine Bluff in 1939 and joined Main Street Baptist, later becoming Olive Street and today Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Bobbye was strong in her faith and lived it daily. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, camping and spending time with the SAMS group at Olive Branch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Patricia Ann May, Mary Faye Jaggars and Reverend William Carroll Reed. Bobbye is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George Vernon Harden, whom she married, August 6, 1948; children, Dr. Anthony Harden (Beverly), Randy Harden (Kathey) and Cindy Fell (Steve); seven grandchildren, Jessica, Carl, Patrick, Brittany, Bethany, Janna & Shelby; six great-grandchildren, Luke, Clayton, Aimsley, Addison, Grayson, Tyler, and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 6th, 11 a.m. at Fuller Hale~South Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jeremy Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
