Jack Boyd

Jack Boyd, age 81, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017. He was born April 17, 1935 in Jacksonville to the late Willis and Mattie Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a member of Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Mr. Boyd was a retired truck driver. He loved to travel to south Texas with his wife, Patsy, in their RV. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his wife Patsy and his son Dickie Boyd. Mr. Boyd is survived by his children; Craig Boyd (Becki), Sandra Robinson (Kenny), Susan McCorkle (Marty) and Vicky Teague (Steve), nine grandchildren; Russell Teague (Kacey), Chris Teague, Jessica Ward (Mitch), Braden Boyd, Spencer Robinson, Whitney Robinson, Sabrina McCorkle, Danielle McCorkle and Matthew Boyd (Laura) and nine great-grandchildren; Caden Ward, Drake Ward, Adalyn Ward, Jackson Teague, Dylan Teague, Noah Teague, Jacob Mackie, Isaac McCorkle, Aubrey McCorkle, and Cooper Boyd. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Akers (Joe) and Glenda Blackburn (Bud). The family would like to thank Richard and Sharon Herring for the wonderful and generous care given to Mr. Boyd during the past year. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Dr. David O'Dell officiating. Interment will follow in Bayou Meto Cemetery.
