Martha Mann Bobo, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 3, 2017 in Raleigh, N.C. Born Aug. 25, 1924 in Little Rock, Ark., she was the daughter of Robert Edward Mann and Sally Carter Mann. Her life was characterized by her steadfast faith, her indelible kindness and her love and gratitude for those around her to the end. She was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Martha was a fulltime homemaker who served her Lord faithfully through the giving of her time and talent at her churches and Bible Study Fellowship as a teacher, leader, and librarian. She supported her beloved husband of 59 years, W.E. "Dub" Bobo Jr. in his every endeavor before his death in 2007, working tirelessly behind the scenes to help him achieve his many business, civic and faith-based accomplishments. She was a life member of International Beta Sigma Phi, the Salvation Army Auxiliary and the Gideon Auxiliary. She played an integral part in organizing the many reunions and activities of the PBHS Class of '42. Martha loved Pine Bluff and counted it as her lifelong home, even when she moved first to Texas, then to North Carolina to be near her family. She was a caring daughter, devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother who also deeply cherished her many friends. Martha is survived by her children: W.E. "Ed" Bobo, III (Dr. Richard L. Jones) of San Francisco, Calif., and Leah "Cissie" Bobo Cargill of Raleigh, N.C.; and by her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Ashley Buechele (Greg) with Cosette and Tess, Spencer Cargill (Katherine) with Fiona, and Elise Sharpe (Graham). The family would like to express gratitude for the lavish outpouring of love, care, visits and phone calls from so many who've touched Martha's life. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m., followed by graveside services at Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Salvation Army of Pine Bluff, or the library of First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff. Online register: www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
