Olethia Gladys Plant was born on August 22, 1932 in Hensley, Arkansas. She was one of thirteen children born to the late Mr. James H. Plant, Sr. and Mrs. Gladys (Campbell) Plant. She was a faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Woodson, Arkansas. She was a retired employee of Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas. She loved to cook, sew, gardening, fishing, reading, and most of all she loved spreading the word of God. Her second loving families are: Don and Libby McDaniel and their son Chris McDaniel; Ken and Rhonda Dick. She was preceded in death by: her brothers, Mr. James H. Plant, Jr., Mr. David Plant, and Rev. Fred Plant; sisters, Mrs. Alberta Dolby, Mrs. Bobbie J. Price, and Mrs. Victoria Horton; and one grandson, Mr. Freddie King, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ms. Delois King of Woodson, Arkansas; and two sons, Mr. Freddie Plant of Hensley, Arkansas and 1st SGT (Retired) Arthur D. Plant of Huntsville, Alabama; brother, Mr. Arthur Plant of Oakland, California; sisters, Ms. Beatrice Plant of Hensley, Arkansas; Mrs. Earline Guel of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mrs. Luvenia Waggoner of Hensley, Arkansas; and Ms. Joyce Plant of Hensley, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Ms. Bernice Horton and Ms. JoAnn Pendarvis both of Little Rock, Arkansas; Miss. Ashley Plant of Denver, Colorado; and Miss. Alisha Plant of Huntsville, Alabama; eight great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Home going services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017, 11 a.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 South Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305. Interment will follow at Rest In Peace Memorial Park, Hensley, Ark.
