Richard Lee Furgison

Richard Lee Furgison, age 82, passed away in Bentonville on January, 9, 2017. He was born December 23, 1934 in Omaha, Neb.E to Jack Miller and Jennie Ellen Furgison. He was the beloved husband of Goldie Furgison. Richard Served in the Marines during the Korean War. He worked for Pamida in Omaha, NE for 20 years and retired to Arkansas in 2003. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and served in the honor guard for post 3031. He also was a volunteer at helping hands for 12 years. He is survived by his wife; son Richard Furgison Jr.; daughter Irene and Jennie Furgison, Kathy and Bill Purcell of Westminster, CO, Kari and Rob Tanner of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents. Memorial services will be held in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Helping Hands, 2602 SW D St. Bentonville, Ark. 72712.
