Jerry A. Miller

Jerry A. Miller, 84, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on January 8, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Ardath Woods Miller and his wife, June Kittler Miller. He is survived by his children, Randy Miller (Nancy), Brent Miller (Tandy), and Sandra Miller; grandchildren, Lauren Ballard (Will), Andrew Miller, Emily Miller, and Ashley Miller; and granddog, Simon. Jerry taught at Forest Heights Junior High and took much joy in seeing former students around Little Rock. He then worked as a counselor, supervisor, and administrator at Arkansas Rehab Services for 38 years. Jerry was also a vocational expert with the Social Security Administration's Office of Hearings and Appeals. He then became administrator of the Arkansas Kidney Disease Commission. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Friday, January 13 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 6401 W. 32nd St., Little Rock, Ark. 72204 and the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
