Sharon Elizabeth Barnett

Sharon Elizabeth Barnett, 80, of Cabot, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017. She was born December 2, 1936 in New Paris, Indiana to the late Harold Royce and Dorothea Frederick Drudge. Mrs. Barnett worked for Hertz Rental Car and later at Beebe Retirement Center. She was an avid quilter and gardener. She loved hummingbirds and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, David Earl Barnett Jr.; daughter, Shanda Harness; great granddaughter, Sharae Jones; one sister and four brothers. Mrs. Barnett is survived by her children, David Barnett III (Mary), Denise Swann (Johnny), Sharol Jones, Beverly Echols (Ron) and Rachel Barnett; her brothers, Paul and Casey Drudge; sister, Marilyn Culp; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
