Veodis Johnny Allmon

Veodis Johnny Allmon of Wrightsville, Ark., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017. Veodis was also preceded in death by brothers, Isaac Allmon Sr., John Henry Wright, and Lee Autry Wright; sisters, Naomi Wallace, Alma Jean Williams, Zelpherine "Zip" Battle and Viola Gentry. Additional survivors include his brother, Jesse James Wright, Jr. (Beverly) of Blue Springs, Mo.; his sister, Katherine Wright Knight of Little Rock; a special daughter in-law, Lois Allmon of Baton Rouge and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All services will be held at First Baptist Church, 901 Calhoun Street, Little Rock, Ark. Visitation: today, January 12, 2017, 5:30–6:30 p.m., Funeral services Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow with honors at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave. NLR, Ark.
