Albert Odell Alford

Albert Odell Alford, 74, of Little Rock, went to be with our Heavenly Father January 11, 2017. He was born May 19, 1942 in Story, Arkansas, to the late Fritz and Dixie Byrd Christen. He was a truck driver by trade for Ben E. Keith and other food companies in Little Rock. He was retired from Union County Sanitation in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a member of Martindale Baptist Church in Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his parents; one step-daughter Kelly A. Sweeney. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Diane Alford; his daughters, Brenda Waleszonia (Mark), Darlene Lester (Tim), Shelly Atkins, all of Little Rock; one son, Guy Christen (Angie) of Mississippi; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North. Alexander, Arkansas, with visitation an hour prior to service.
