Myrtle Ailene Crosby Flowers of North Little Rock, formerly of Batesville, died January 13, 2017, in North Little Rock. She was born in Hope, Arkansas on January 4, 1924, to John Thomas and Myrtle Duke Crosby. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Hollis V. Flowers, and her daughter, Dr. Deborah Flowers Fawcett. She is survived by her son, Dan Flowers (Sara), her daughter, Dr. Dianne Flowers Johnson (Randy), and her six grandchildren, Susan Lea Flowers Baker (Don) of Warsaw Poland, Jennifer Ann Flowers Remy (Nick) of Ft. Smith, Ark., Daniel Matthew Flowers (Julie) of Maumelle, Ark., Holli Ann Fawcett Clayton (Bill) of Houston, Texas, Kristin Crosby Johnson Blain (Mike) of North Little Rock, Ark., Kathryn Louise Johnson Prewitt (Chris) of North Little Rock, Ark., and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Flowers was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, and, most recently, a 33 year member of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where for 16 years she faithfully served during each Wednesday night service. She was a member of the North Little Rock Women's Club and where she served on the Board of Directors of The Willow House. For the past five years she was a resident of the Fox Ridge Assisted Living Center in North Little Rock. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Fox Ridge for the excellent care and attention given to her during her time of residence at Fox Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Herndon - Pharr Funeral Home of Hope, Ark, with a private family graveside service on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Interment will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, make memorials to Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 E C Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
