Ed Beard Jr., 89, Conway, Ark. departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was born in Conway, Ark. on June 26, 1927 to the late Ed Beard, Sr. and Allie McCrosky Beard. He retired from The Bud Company in Detroit, MI and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beard of Conway, Ark.; two sons, James (Glenda) Beard of Oklahoma and Vernon (Ora) Beard of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Allie Carson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Corliss (Harold) Ingram of Detroit, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren. Funeral services 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017, St. James CME Church, 1304 Markham Street, Conway. Family visitation 6 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friday, January 20, at funeral home.
