Elizabeth Adams Norton

Elizabeth Adams Norton, 103, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born July 25, 1913 in Limestone, Arkansas, the daughter of Smith and Meddie Jones Ponder. She was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and she loved and was very active in her Church Life. She enjoyed croqueting and making quilts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Adams and her second husband, James Norton, two sons; Doyle and David Adams and one daughter, Virginia Weatherford. She is survived by four sons: Paul Adams and wife Doreen of Springdale, Verl Adams and wife Mary Jane of Gravette, Arkansas, Harold Adams of Rogers, Arkansas and Dennis Adams of Nob Hill, Arkansas; two daughters: Janice Wedin and husband Paul of Gainsville, Missouri and Glenna Edgmon of Mansfield, Missouri. One sister, Faye Freeman of Mountain Grove, Missouri and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willwood Ave., Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Fant officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
