Helen Files Dwiggins, age 92, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on January 23, 2017. Born May 5, 1924 to the late Gene and Pauline Files, Helen was a special lady. She was known for her love of family, friends, and all creatures great and small. Her love for adventure lead her to drive a demolition derby car, train pilots as a flight instructor for the Civil Air Patrol, and guide fishing excursions on Lake Hamilton. Her passion for the outdoors inspired her to lead Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops. She lived her life passionately. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist church where she worshiped until her health would no longer permit. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Norton Dwiggins, and many beloved friends and family. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Joey and wife Michelle Dwiggins, her daughter, Becky Dwiggins, grandson, Callyn Dwiggins, and any fortunate enough to call her friend. Her celebration of life will begin with a visitation at 10 a.m. and funeral service at 12 noon, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Files Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church or the Humane Society.
