Joseph Calvin Simpson Jr. age 67, of Hot Springs died Monday, January 23, 2017. He was he was born June 5, 1949 in Camden, Ark. to the late, Joseph C. and Lillie Mae Elliot Simpson Sr. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Camden and attended AM&N (now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff). He retired from Southwestern Bell after 35 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Fisher Simpson; his sons, which are the only Identical African American Quadruplets in the state of Arkansas, Joseph Calvin III, Aaron, David and Michael Simpson all of Hot Springs; two sisters, Joann Stokes of Little Rock and Lavern (Acie) Spencer of Highpoint, N.C.; his nieces and nephews, Ninzey Stokes, Naura Stokes, Jason Terry and Sonja Terry; a host of extended family. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday January 28, 2017 at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, Hot Springs. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
