Charles D. Jones

CHARLES D. "CHARLIE" JONES, 76, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2017. Charles was born in Warren, Ark., on July 9, 1940 to Douglas Doyle "Jack" Jones and E. Lois Neal Jones who preceded him. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Bruff and Verna Mae Williams Hudson, all of Warren, Ark. He leaves behind his wife of fifty years, Marilyn Hudson Jones; daughter, Misti Jones; son, Doug (Dianna) Jones all of Little Rock, Ark.; grandson, Colin Jones (fiancé Morgan Priddy) of Bryant, Ark.; granddaughter, Julianne Smith Unger (Steve) of Little Rock. Charles was a graduate of Arkansas A&M in Monticello, Ark. He was in the grocery business throughout his life, working for Kelley Brokerage Company most of his career and then Acosta Sales and Marketing until his retirement in 2009. Charles was a loyal member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church of Little Rock and was a proud member of the "Huh?" Sunday school class. Charles found pleasure while working in the yard, piddling in his antique booth, trout fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, AR. Visitation from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday, July 2, at Frazer's Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 3, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock. Visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday, July 3, at Roller Chenal.
