Imogene Turner

Imogene Turner passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Lakewood Health & Rehab in N. Little Rock, Ark. She was 86 and born in Prescott, Ark. She was a resident of Camden, Ark., for many years before moving to N. Little Rock in 2009. Imogene was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always had a special smile, twinkle in her eye, and a laugh that was contagious. Imogene was a homemaker and also was active in civic and community activities. She served on the Camden City Board of Directors, Camden Junior Auxiliary, Camden Pilot Club, and served as 1975 crusade chairperson of the Ouachita County Unit of the American Cancer Society and was a past president of the Camden Boys Club Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her parents Golda and Lillard Billingsley, husbands Hesterly Huskey and H. L. Arrington, and her son Dennis Huskey, her brothers Gilbert and Thomas Billingsley, and her sisters Mary Moore and Vada Billingsley. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Ziegenfelder (Kenny) of Sherwood, Ark.; grandchildren, Jeff Morris (Beth) of Bryant, Brooke McGee, Allyssa Huskey, Ryan Huskey and Shannon Martin; great-grandchildren Brayden Morris, Destin Handloser, Samuel King, Turner McGee, Allie McGee and Daniel and David Martin; great-great grandchildren Abby Handloser and Annabella Martin; sisters Lois McCain of Prescott, Ark.; Sue Hammans (Bud) of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brother John Billingsley (Jean) of Benton, La., and numerous nieces and nephews. Imogene loved the Lord and her church. She was a member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ in N. Little Rock, Ark., and was previously a long time member of Maul Road Church of Christ in Camden, Ark. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Lakewood Health & Rehab and also Arkansas Hospice for the loving care and compassion shown to Imogene and her family. Funeral service will be at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel of Camden, Ark., on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and burial to follow in Sweet Home Cemetery in Blevins, Ark., In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Cir., N.
