Jimmy Dale Diemer, age 87, of the Rosedale Community in East Clark County, passed from this life on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on February 8, 1930 in Benton the son of the late Earl and Gladys Rice Diemer. Dale was a 1949 graduate of Benton High School and a 1956 graduate of Henderson State Teachers College. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was the Superintendent and Principal of Lakeside Schools in Chicot County for 32 years. Dale was a member of Dalark United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting deer in his free time. Survivors are his wife of sixty-two years, Gwen Pennington Diemer of Rosedale, two daughters, Katherine Finnegan (William) of East Clark County, and Tracy Teer (Jerry) of Hazen, and one grandson, Jared Teer of Hazen. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Atchley Cemetery with Bro. Bob Langley officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Welch Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Clark County, P.O. Box 435, Arkadelphia, Ark. 71923 or Atchley Cemetery Fund, 307 Dallas 353, Arkadelphia, Ark. 71763.
