Mary Alice Broach

Mary Alice Broach, 85, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born April 23, 1932 in Martinville, Arkansas to the late William F. Thomas and Mildred Herring Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Max L. Broach; one brother, William F. Thomas Jr.; and two sisters, Virginia Mayall and Maxine Mildred Layne. Mary first and foremost was a Christian and had a great faith in Jesus. She was a devoted wife and mother and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a graduate of Greenbrier High School. She retired from the AR State Plant Board and also worked at the UAMS Child Study Center. She enjoyed many things in life especially fishing with her husband. She also loved to garden. She was a talented painter and seamstress and had a multitude of other talents as well. She is survived by two sons, Bobby L. Broach (Carol) of Zionsville, Ind. and Joel Broach (Mary) of Mabelvale, Ark.; one daughter, Myra Roberts ( Preston) of East End, Ark.; one brother, Elmer Neal Thomas; six grandchildren, Tim, Clint, and Travis Broach, Josh Roberts, Camille Adcock, and Alicia Benson; and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Martinville Cemetery in Martinville.
