John T. Johnson, 75, of Salmon, Idaho, formerly of Thornburg, Ark., passed away peacefully from cancer on June 29, 2017 at his home in Salmon with his loving wife Jean and stepson Chris by his side. John was born on February 3, 1942 in Thornburg, Ark., to William R. and Katherine Westerfield Johnson. John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Beverly Jean Johnson; sons, Christopher S. Johnson, John T. Johnson Jr.; grandchildren, Daphney R. Johnson, John T. Johnson III, step grandchildren Chance Hickey, Britney Akin; sisters Kaye Johnson Guess, Elizabeth (James M.) Wise, Nancy Gosnell, Sarah (Dean) Hargrove, Martha (Jim) Sponer; brother, Riley R. (Grace) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Johnson; mother, Katherine Westerfield Johnson; brother, Marion L. Johnson. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 in the Thornburg Baptist Church, Thornburg, Ark. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Perryville. Interment will in the Thornburg Cemetery, Thornburg, Ark.
