Karen Sue (Johnson) Gardner, 71, of Batesville, died Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born on Dec. 6, 1945 in Batesville, Arkansas to Clarence Johnson and Louise (Ward) Johnson. Karen worked at Crye*Leike Batesville Real Estate Center. She enjoyed traveling to New York with her friends, painting and making crafts. She devoted her life to her kids and grandkids. All through her life she never left the side of her husband and helped him to build houses along with her children right along side of her. She always sacrificed herself for others. She was part of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood with her besties. She truly lived a happy life. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Taylor (J.T.) and Cindy Gillihan (Keith) both of Batesville; eleven grandchildren, Rocky Gardner, Chance Baxter, Cobhye Baxter, Hayden Limbaugh, Hunter Limbaugh, Josh Limbaugh, Catie Grace Baxter, Baylee Gardner, Morgan Taylor, Mollie Taylor, and Hailey Gillihan; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Randy Johnson (Dianne) of North Little Rock; brother and sister-in-laws, Buddy and Connie Warner of North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Louise Johnson; husband, Reekie Gardner; son, Reekie Gardner Jr.; and great-grandson, Jordyn Limbaugh.
