Charles Albert "Pa Paw" Blaylock, 70, of White Hall, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at home. He was born January 2, 1947 in Paron, son of Hurley Jay Blaylock and Lucille Major Rowe. Mr. Blaylock was reared and received his early education in Paron and Pine Bluff, graduating from Dollarway High School. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. Mr. Blaylock owned and operated his own trucking company. He enjoyed working on anything mechanical. Mr. Blaylock was known in his neighborhood for repairing anything from cars to lawnmowers. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. According to his wife, Mr. Blaylock loved his wife, overalls and pets, not necessarily in that order. Mr. Blaylock was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Dice; step-father, Bill Rowe; step-daughter, Terri Recer. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Harris Blaylock of White Hall; two sons, Allen Truhett of Hughesville, Maryland and Gary Blaylock of White Hall; daughter, Tracy Reed of White Hall; step-mother, Lois Blaylock of Boonville; step-daughter, Robin Sinclair of Sheridan; step-son, Butch Recer of Alaska; three brothers, James Rowe of Pine Bluff, Tommy Blaylock of Sheridan and Dee Blaylock of Booneville; two sisters, Martha Blaylock Boyd of Mansfield and Teresa Blaylock Owens of Booneville; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 in the Chapel of Cranford Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Williams officiating.
