Robert William (Bob) Fisher, 83, of Camden Arkansas, passed away July 8, 2017. He was born April 11, 1934 in Lawrence, Kansas, son of the late Melville and Betty Fisher. Bob graduated from Lawrence High School in 1952. He attended the University of Kansas studying design. He was on the KU swim team and a member of the K Club at the University of Kansas. Bob and his family moved to Camden in 1964 where he was owner and operator of Fisher's Diamond Shop. On August 7, 1982, Bob married his wife, Ginger. He later worked in the car sales and rental business and spent the last ten years of his working life with the Camden Fairview School District working with children as an educational mentor and a beloved school bus driver. He retired in 2010. Bob and Ginger have been active members of St. Mark United Methodist Church for 35 years, serving in various areas of leadership. Bob was a dedicated member of the Camden Rotary Club and Rotary International, serving as President and longtime Secretary of the local club and District Governor of District 6170 Rotary International during 1992-1993. Through the years Bob maintained 50 years of perfect attendance, making up meetings in Rotary Clubs all over the world. Bob and Ginger have been blessed to travel widely over the years through Rotary. Bob exemplified the Rotary motto "service above self." He had many interests and hobbies including being a member of the British Motoring Club of Arkansas. He was truly a car enthusiast. He was a licensed pilot by the age of 16. Devoted to his family, he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom Fisher; a granddaughter, Courtney Fisher; a grandson, Chase Daneshmandi and special friends: Brian Dickinson of New Zealand, Stephen Carter and Evan Williams. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ginger Ann Dunn Fisher; six children: Kathy Daneshmandi (KC), Mike Fisher (Lana), Steve Fisher (Anna), Steven Harrell, Jon Harrell (Sheila), Ben Harrell (Julie); thirteen grandchildren: Krista Fisher, Kyle Fisher, Emily Fisher, Bryce Daneshmandi, Max Harrell, Mackenzie Harrell, Chris Harrell, Ryan Harrell, Carter Harrell, Jack Harrell, Tyler Harrell, Jett Harrell, Aiden Taylor and one brother, Charles Fisher (Erma) of Lawrence, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at St. Mark United Methodist Church. A reception will follow the service.
