Johnnie Bell Evans

Johnnie Bell Evans, 85, of Cabot passed away July 14, 2017. She was born June 27, 1932 in McRae, Ark., to the late John W. Murphy and Rella Stella (Pickens) Murphy. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia Glover and brother, Bobby Wayne Murphy. Johnnie graduated Cabot High School in 1950 and was a longtime resident of Cabot. She was a Miss Arkansas contestant in 1949. She was also a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. Johnnie is survived by her husband, Jackie M. Evans; son, Stanley Wayne Evans (Mary Catherine); granddaughters, Stacey (Benjamin) and Stephaney (Kyle); great-grandson, Wolfe; sister, Betty Jo Murphy-Carrington, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Cabot United Methodist Church, 2003 S. Pine St., Cabot.
