Larry Joe Lankford

Larry Joe Lankford, affectionately known by many as "Larry Joe," passed away peacefully at his home in Crawfordville, Fla., on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the age of 74. He was born in Bee Branch, Ark., on May 27, 1943. He was a master carpenter who constructed homes from Shreveport, La., to Little Rock, Ark., and many small towns nearby. He moved to Crawfordville in 1994, and he continued his work in the construction field until his retirement in 2006. Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gail Lankford, his four sons; Larry Lankford Jr. (Tammy) of Higdon, Ark., Lynn Lankford of Conway, Ark., Nathan Lankford (Taylor) of Salisbury, Md., Justin Lankford (Carrie) of Crawfordville, Fla. He is also survived by his mother Louise Lankford of Bee Branch, Ark., his six brothers, and two sisters, all living in Arkansas. He also has seven grand children and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Lankford, and his daughter, Lawanna Pate. Private family services will be held at a later date.
