Richard E. Burdick

Richard Burdick, 83, Benton passed away Friday July 21, 2017. He was born Sept. 3, 1933 in Frankfort, N.Y. Richard worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years, was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers branch 6119, Metairie, La., and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustace G. Burdick and Elizabeth Kinne Burdick, wife, Mary Grace Burdick, brother, Kenneth Burdick and wife Ann Burdick, daughter-in-law, Linda Owens. Survivors, son, Richard E. Burdick Jr., grandson, Richard E. Burdick (Rachel) Marks, Decatur, Ill.; sisters, Ruth; Bisbee, Benton, Movice Kay Cantrell, Metairie, La.; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nieces, Theresa Van Horn (Steve), Benton, Terry Lachute (Jim), Slidell, La., Sandi Babb (Shane), St. Rose, La.; nephews Mark Burdick (Debbie), Orlando, Fla. and Aubrey Sambola, Alexander, Ark.; very special friends, Yvonne and Tony Morris, England, Ark.
